It's a very useful feature with lots of applications including encfs encrypted filesystem.

Could we have it in the UML kernel, please?

I know that. That's why I started a new thread in Feature Request Forum.

I second that request. It would be really helpful.

When is the next kernel upgrade happening?

Should be this coming week. I've been messing around with Blaisorblade's TLS/NPTL implementation for UML, but I think I'm going to hold off until it's in mainline. But, it's coming!

A FUSE-enabled 2.6.15-um kernel is out there. Please let me know how it goes; if all is well, I'll point "Latest 2.6" to it.

The kernel seems to be running fine, but I was unable to run FUSE on it.

I have no idea why:

fusermount: mount failed: Invalid argument
fuse failed. Common problems:
- fuse kernel module not installed (modprobe fuse)
- invalid options -- see usage message

$ uname -a
Linux linode 2.6.15-linode16 #1 Wed Jan 4 17:30:25 EST 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
