Hi,

I enjoy a lots of the notification features, but wish you also notify me when the host server is crashes which is more urgent situation than IO/CPU/network bandwidth reach the thresholds.

As the shutdown watch dog is also useless on this situation. considering the AtlantaNAP power outage. I guess the monitoring servers on other datacenter can handle situation.

I know about Nagios but it would be more simple if you provide the feature natively.

also it would be useful that you notify when the watchdog fails to boot the guest server. (not sure that is common though)

Thanks!

Would be very nice to know when my box reboots before the clients call me complaining bout their site being down.

Thnx,
G

Hi, I only check system status once a month or so to do updates - I could go a day or 2 without noticing the linode was down - a good watchdog will be very handy for this class of customer.

Thank you
