I would love to test Btrfs on my Linode, but there is no support compiled into the kernel. It it possible to provide a kernel with this feature enabled?

Btrfs is still experimental, so I doubt that caker & co will want to bake it into their production kernels. You could use pv-grub to load your own kernel if you want to experiment.

Bumping this.
