Right now, you have two options to determine if your kernel is out of date.

1) Set your kernel to Latest and then check uname and compare it against the Linode Manager
2) Set your kernel to a specific kernel and then edit your profile to see if it's deprecated

An RSS feed of kernels would be much easier.
