Ah, yeah, I see the problem. We'll have this fixed soon -- thanks for letting us know.

Odd, what was the issue? I wasn't joking about confirming it, I mean, after Caker said he fixed it I downloaded FF 3.6 and tested it, didn't notice any issues.

Was it only at dallas?

I think so. I'm also on dallas and I see the same messages in the error console.

Does it work for you guys? I'm on dallas33 and the console is not working yet. I was under the impression it had been fixed on other machines already. Am I wrong?

Cheers,

Nope, still not working. They seem to be having problems getting dallas to work...

I am brandy new to Linode. Using FF3.6 and dallas center. I also cannot use the console. When I launch the console, I get a gray screen with the following words on top horiz menu: colors, get, paste
Selecting colors = colors on or off; get (same thing) and paste = access denied. I enabled the ff extension for copy/paste; no change. But that is a separate problem.

So, does anyone have the console working on FF3.6?

press enter a few times when the screen has loaded it should pop up with the login.

You can also try the lish console which is faster.

Doesn't work for me.

Lish is fine--if your ssh ports are not filtered. Sometimes the only viable connection is over HTTP, that's why me and some other guys here miss the AJAX console that much.

I have to say that FF 3.6.x seems to have some serious bugs in the new engine. I have an unrelated AJAX app, that works perfectly in just about everything else* but randomly receives an exception during DOM manipulation in FF 3.6.x (including 3.6.3).

* FF2.x, FF3.[05].x, Opera 9.x/10.x, IE6,7,8, Chrome 3,4, I'm too lazy to grep the access logs for more.

Hitting enter several times isn't working here. I used the console in IE and it works fine. Hate when that happens. So, just keeping my FF as primary and hopping over to IE when needed, which isn't often.

This is where linode were clever, from the linode docs

Quote:
Lish listens for connections on ports 22, 443 and 2200.

Connect via port 443 which is the standard https port unless your network doesn't like you visiting secure websites it'll be open ;)
