Every now and then we have a need for more disk space. Often this space is needed temporarily and once the task is completed the space is no longer needed and buying extra disk space for this would not be money well spent.

The idea is this: Linode would offer nfs mountable disk where everyone would have plenty of disk space available for a short time.

Of course there should be means to control the usage and just to offer the easiest ones: quota with setting the low soft limit, high hard limit and short expiration/grace period (1-2 days). Then, to keep the space under control files not accessed within certain time would be deleted.
