Is anything being done to make linode.com iteself redundant. I noticed earlier today, with the dallas network outage, that the primary linode site and dns queries to the site seems to be inoperable. Not only was my site down, hosted in dallas, but so was www.linode.com website. This made me very uncomfortable, as I had no clue as what was going on and could not get any answers, as everything appeared dead. With so many geographic disperse data centers and such, I kind of expect this type of redundancy already.

Thanks,

Justin.

I would like to 2nd the redundancy for the Linode.com site for the Linode Manager. I'm using the Fremont datacenter, but I was unable to get to my Linode Manager this morning when the Dallas datacenter went down.

You have to check
status.linode.com
to be aware of outages and other issues of that kind

Note that the IP address of that site has as for ISP, SIX APART LTD and so we might assume it is not hosted on a linode.

Now, it is true that reaching the status page does not mean you can access your Linode Manager.

And Six Apart is the company who makes Movable Type and TypePad, among other things. They also host a great deal of blogs using those platforms.
