Following this outage in Freemont I realized, much to my dispair, that the status page suggests NOT to reboot the node, which I did since this is the first time I had an outage at Linode and I was not aware of such status.

My suggestion is this; Why don't you stick a status warnings ON the actual main node page? When an outage happens, the warning also appears there thus stopping users from trying to restart the nodes and making things even harder.

It can't possibly be that hard to accomplish and will save Linode and the users from messing things up.

And an automatic email when outages happen may not be a bad idea because had I not checked my site I would never known about it. Had this been a client's site, it would have been practical to know right away.

Maybe this one is a bit much, but it would be an excellent feature.
