Hi. I really like the notification alert option. I would like it even more if I could set it up to get notification alerts more frequently. My site was just down for almost 4 hours before I got a notification alert (it went down slightly after 00:00, so I guess it wasn't seen as being down for all of the 00:00-02:00 window, and I didn't get the alert until it continued to be down for the whole 02:00-04:00 window).

What alerts are you talking about? Linode doesn't have any website monitoring alerts, it only has alerts for disk IO, CPU, network etc

Yes, those are the ones I am talking about. (In practice, for me, they are identical to "site is down" notices)

Setup pingdom. They have a free service, and you will be notified in minutes when your site goes down.
