Hello,

It'd be nice to be able to have a different email address for the CPU/IO/whateverelse alerts, for example so they're sent to a mobile device.

Thanks,
-Mike

Are you saying you want to specify different e-mail addresses for different kinds of reports? Or just to specify multiple e-mail addresses to get reports?

The latter can be accomplished simply by creating new linode manager accounts for each e-mail address, or setting up one of the addresses to forward to the rest.

If it's the former, one thing Linode might be able to do to improve this is make the IO alert settings per-user rather than per-linode. That way, each user who has access rights to the linode could configure their own report thresholds. For example, if two people have access to a linode, one being the beancounter and one being the person maintaining it, the beancounter might only care about the transfer threshold alert, while the person maintaining it might want all of the alerts.

Per-user rather than per-linode would be fine, but I'm actually asking for alerts to be sent to an email address other than the main email address for the account. So, billing and stuff goes to one email, while these time-sensitive alerts get sent to a different address (in my case, an email address that goes to my phone).

You can already do that by adding a second user. All users on an account with access rights get alerts.

Sorry, didn't you just say that alerts are not configurable per-user?

Also, this is a common-enough use case that it shouldn't require creating and configuring a second user account.

It sounds like you don't need per-user notification alerts, you just want alerts to go to a second e-mail address.

Yes, instead of going to the address for billing info and the like.
