Hi,

I can pretty much unequivocally say that the biggest attraction for me going with Linode was the wonderful docs library. For someone who hasn't been formally trained or acquainted with tools and trade of this field, it's really been a goldmine for me.

I would be very happy if a Django guide was added -- already a few exist ( http://library.linode.com/frameworks/dj ... e-mod-wsgi ) -- but one that goes just a teeny tiny bit farther, introducing and setting up pip and virtualenv, would be really great, and very helpful.

Please, please make it happen.

Thanks!

p.s.: I've an archlinux image, but I'll be good for whatever the guide is produced, I think it'll be pretty easy to adapt.

edit: grammar fixes

A small follow-up --

these links are possibly pretty useful:

1) http://bartek.im/blog/2010/07/13/django ... nment.html
2) http://ryanwilliams.org/2009/jun/09/dep ... irtualenv/
3) http://www.mahdiyusuf.com/post/52821695 ... rtualenv-1
4) http://www.craigkerstiens.com/2011/05/1 ... ango-apps/

I've made more concrete plans that I'm gonna get a bit more involved in these little projects come April-time -- which, interestingly, is when an Ubuntu LTS release is supposed to come out.

If I do not find that someone has written a doc with a broader scope than the one in the linode library, I'll write it myself -- a doc that works to set up a Django install with pip, virtualenv, git, etc.

Cheers!
