Hello everyone, yesterday after some search I chose Linode, but I was uncertain between your service and another isp, which uses vmware ESXi/vCloud (essentially I still am, but the presales department of the other provider hasn't replied to me... apparently I'm not worth even the time to answer a simple question since I'm not a business customer). The main reason to preferring ESXi is, for me, the possibility to run any operating system out of the box, even from a custom ISO. Obviously vCloud has many other features, but most -if not all- of them can be implemented using Xen.
Seeing that you already run your service on VT-x capable CPUs, it wouldn't be difficult (I hope) to provide another plan for those who like to have more control over the VPS or who would enjoy an easier migration from another server; HVM, the possibility to start the vps from our own images and maybe a VNC graphical console could make your service almost unparalleled.

Is there anyone interested?

If only there was someplace on this site that had a list of documents that covered all the features and tips & tricks available to Linode customers - wouldn't that be great?!?

Or maybe if there was a way to search stuff. You know, like this forum, or the web, or my top dresser drawer - that would be awesome.

Perhaps just browsing thru the forum and looking at other post titles might enlighten some?

The possibilities are almost endless.

I knew that this was possible, but it's more complex than simply choosing an iso image/virtual block device file and booting, and it won't work with every operating system.

That's why I wrote
