Hey everyone,
Im new to Linode and havnt had much Administrative Experiance with Linux, but am a fast learner. Can anyone suggest a good overall linux control panel for ubuntu? Something I can use that can add users, look at disk usage, network usage, and the like. cPanel and Plesk seem to be a very good example of what im looking for, maybe not that extreme, but something around that GENERAL area.
It dosnt have to be web based or anything, even console based with simple commands would be sufficient.

Webmin suppports Ubuntu, but FBSD, RedHat, and Solaris are most supported. It's been a while since I've used WebMin but it seemed easy-to-use but solid and powerful last time I tried it out.

I've been using Webmin for about 5 years now; in some ways it's a bit clumsy, but it generally does the job I want it to.

Also handy that I can use the same interface for both my Linux and Solaris boxes.

My main issue of it is that it is too graphics-intensive, which cuts the speed somewhat. However, there is one theme available that although being marred by the use of HTML frames, has more minimal graphics and is considerably faster to load.

I'd advise changing the default port to something obscure and - if like the Gentoo version - the default user is root, create a new one and get rid of it right away. And don't use "admin" or "administrator" either. Pick something as obscure as your obscure port number. (Don't forget to give the new user all the privileges, though.)
