Trying to initiate an ftp from my linode, and aparently the base install of Debian 4 doesn't have the ftp command? Not in bin or sbin, etc.

Any reason as to why, and any suggestions on a replacement?

Thanks,

Paul

FYI: I'd highly recommend giving ncftp a try in place of the standard ftp client. Ncftp allows local and remote tab-completion as well as nifty things like bookmarks, username/password storage, etc.

Because it's a minimal install. Only the stuff needed to run.
