I've been in contact with them and they're working on it. No ETA yet, but I'll check back with them over the next hour. I apologize for these issues.

More in a bit,
-Chris

Things have been looking better for the past 20 minutes or so. I'll continue monitoring.

I have still been experiencing intermittent problems with my linode on atlanta88.

Is there or is there not a problem at the Atlanta Data Center?

Thanks
Marty

Having more problems today - can't keep a stable ssh connection. Is this more of the same problem, or something completely new?

I am not having problems, but some users are reporting issues today as well.

If this confirmed?

Hmm.. http://gnax.net/mrtg/

I've been having latency spikes all day, ranging from SSH being perfectly responsive to three, four, five, six or more seconds before it responds. These seem to come and go as often as several times a minute.

EDIT: atlanta22 is my host.

I have two linodes. Both of them have been lagging for several hours now:

host91.atlanta.linode.com
host94.atlanta.linode.com

What's up?

The word we're getting from Atlanta is that a major carrier is working on a bad fiber connection. This is not the data center's fault and is totally unrelated to the emergency router maintenance from a month ago. I'm seeing 1%-3% packet loss from NJ. We'll continue to monitor and provide updates as we receive them. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The problem is gone for both of my linodes now. There is no more ssh lagging whatsoever since at least a few hours ago.

.....
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)
route-server.ip.tiscali.net>p 64.22.103.1

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 64.22.103.1, timeout is 2 seconds:

route-server.ip.tiscali.net>q
Connection closed by foreign host.
[11:42:11]reallove@e ma ?? ~ $ ssh reallove@atlanta23.linode.com

Yep -- host77 is currently unreachable from my US-based monitoring service as well as via Amsterdam-IX (my home connection).

UPDATE: service restored via AMS-IX at 11:17CET.
