I'm having trouble on a fresh install of ubuntu 8.04. I've got a couple of disk images mapped in the dashboard, but if I do "ls /dev/ub*" nothing shows up. This seems very strange to me as /dev/ubda is mounted as the root partiiton.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Spot on. Installed udev and rebooted, all of the devices are showing up in /dev now.

Thanks!
