I've followed the instructions here: http://www.linode.com/wiki/index.php/Ce ... stallation to the letter, and I keep getting this error when I try to start apache:

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd_vhosts.conf:
Invalid command '/home/myusername/public_html', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Does anybody know what module I might have to load? I'm running CentOS 5.2 and I have followed the instructions in the wiki exactly 1-5.21 then on to the apache installation.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The article in the Linode Library is more up to date than the wiki, at this point, and is a bit simplier in terms of its approach. You can find that guide here: http://library.linode.com/lamp-guides/centos-5/

I can't be sure without seeing more of your httpd_vhosts.conf file, but unless you have an unusual configuration you don't need additional modules to get virtual hosting to work with Apache.

Cheers,
sam
