I have recently added ns5.linode.com as my DNS server at my registrar (in addition to previous ns1..ns4 servers) and now intodns.com lists this error for my domain:

Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers
ERROR: One or more of the nameservers listed at the parent servers are not listed as NS records at your nameservers. The problem NS records are:
ns5.linode.com

What does it mean and how do I fix it?
Thanks.

Make a change on the zone so it regenerates, and it'll include ns5.linode.com.

Thanks.

Now it complains about something else: "Your SOA RETRY value is: 14400. That is NOT OK".
Why linode default for SOA RETRY is 14400?
Should I change it to 7200?

Thanks again.

14400 is a perfectly reasonable retry. Your dns checker is broken :)

Yet linode.com itself specifies 7200/3600 for SOA REFRESH/RETRY, while default for us is 14400 for both values. What's the matter, do you think you are better than us? :)

Seriously, does it even matter what's specified as SOA REFRESH/RETRY? Don't DNS servers push updates to each other nowadays?
