I have an alert notifications for disk IO rate that is triggered every time my file system backups are done.

While I could increase the trigger rate, I would very much need to know if that kind of disk rate was hit during normal operation.

Is there some way to disable the alert notification for the period that I'm doing the backup?

I took a look through the documentation for the Linode API but couldn't find something suitable. Did I just miss it in there?

That would be pretty cool. Time-based alerts.
