I have a linode account, and one of my clients is about to get a Linode account. In order to manage my client's Linodes, I will have my client set up a user for me on his account. The problem is that after this is done, I will have two logins to Linode: my actual account, and a separate account to manage my client's Linodes.

What I would like is for my client to enter my email address when he wants to set up a new user. I would get an email which would allow me to link my Linode account to this new Linode (via a special link). Once this is done, when I log into my account on Linode, I would see my personal Linodes, as well as a separate section for shared Linodes (of clients).

For someone, like myself, who may potentially be managing many Linodes from different customers, this solution would be very useful.

Would anyone else use this, or some similar account sharing system?

Cheers,

Carl

Definitely, I'm up to a couple of logins myself right now.

I don't manage clients, but I can see how this would be extremely helpful. Yes from me.

+1 for shared linodes. It should be as simple to use as shared Dropbox folders. I'm sure the Linode folks are capable of pulling this off perfectly.

I've also got two Linode accounts; one for my personal Linode, one for Otakuthon's two linodes. It'd be nice to unify this into a single login.

Bizarrely, the Mascot Contest *results* page:

http://gallery.otakuthon.com/2009mascotte/en.html

is blocked by my company's outgoing corporate web filter, but the Mascot Contest page *itself*

http://www.otakuthon.com/2009/competiti ... t_contest/

is not blocked. Now that is some serious attention to detail.

James

Glad you guys like the idea. I wonder if we can get this seen by some Linode staff to get their opinion on it. Any Linode staff watching?
