I just wanted to say that I really like the added security of having my IP whitelist, but find it annoying when trying to check something on my cell phone which always has a different IP.

Sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes to get the e-mail (even with PUSH) so it can be somewhat frustrating just to get logged in.

Whats the chance of getting some type of app like the new google 2 factor authentication which is essentially just one of those RSA tokens in an app form.

This would still give that extra security measure, but be a lot more convenient.

Please? Pretty please?

If you have an iPhone you could try this: http://www.linode.com/iphone/

Don't know if that has a different authentication mechanism.

I would certainly hope it does!

Not sure if this would work on an iPhone, but one of the tricks I've found out is to add my server's own IP address to the whitelist. Then I can use an SSH tunnel to log into Linode.com from anywhere.

It's also not official. I certainly wouldn't mind an official one.

+1. As much as I'd like to use the unofficial Linode app, I just can't bring myself to give it my Linode login credentials. An official Linode app for Android would be the bee's knees.
