Not a big deal so I didn't want to trouble Linode support, but recently I've been seeing gaps or breaks in my Linode graphs when I log into manager.

Was wondering if anyone has seen this before, know why it's happening, and if this is any cause for alarm.

Thanks. :D

I see these upon rebooting, it seems time zone related - I stopped investigating once I found the reboot correlation.

Hmm, I haven't rebooted. Yesterday there was 1 break and once when I check last week, there were 3 breaks through a 24 hour period. Weird.

I've been seeing them too for a while now (few days, maybe a week), and I didn't reboot, and won't unless really necessary.

RRD has blanks in the graph when it doesn't have data for a certain period of time. So it's possible that one of their graphing sub-systems is under too much load and not getting data put into the graphs properly.

I would open up a ticket so they can have a look at that just to make sure it's not part of something bigger than they may be missing on the backend. Of course you can prefix the ticket with "Low Priority" if that helps you so you don't feel like you're being a bother.

I've asked support this question in the past.

Basically, their monitoring system is in one datacenter, if there is a connection issue with where your linode's datacenter is and where their monitoring system datacenter is then it appears as a gap
