 Post subject: Enviroment Variables

How can I set enviroment variables so that they stick after I log out? I put them in my .profile file and still didnt work. Every time I log out and log back in I have to update my PATH and others for tomcat.

Are you using the "su" command at all?

Unless you use the "-" argument, it doesn't log you in like a login would -- so, do this:

su -


instead...
