 Post subject: DNS Manager backup

It would be really nice to be able to download a backup copy of the DNS Manager entries. perhaps CSV, or a format which would make restoring them easy.

I'm not sure what redundancy protection Linode has to cover this as it stands currently..

You can enable public zone transfers and then just do "dig example.com axfr @ns1.linode.com". (Of course, so can anyone else, which may bother you.)

Edit: Better option: Click the 'Zone file' link in the DNS manager. That gives you the same thing, more conveniently. And zone files are the standard way to represent zones, so you can plug it into any decent DNS server.

It would be pretty trivial write a script to use the API to back up the information yourself.
