I am newer to Linux and cannot get a simple cron script to work. I keep getting an error:
cron: can't open or create /var/run/crond.pid: Permission denied
I am running webadmin and when I create the cron and run, I get another error:
/bin/sh: /backups/[my_file_name].sh: Permission denied

Can anyone point me in the correct direction? I have been looking for a solution for days now. Thanks

Can i suggest you read the error messages you're getting?

So, I'm guessing I'm pointing you in the direction of permissions
