I'm in Singapore and currently I use Linode London, but it looks for me that Linode in Hurrican Electric will work faster.

By the way will it be easy to change linode server from UK to US? Thanks.

Have a go at downloading all of these a few times

See which is the fastest.

For singapore I'd imagine it's Fremont.

Migrating from London to the US won't be quick since all your data has to go a looooooooong way, I can't remember if you can still clone a linode to another data centre, give it a go and find out.

Interesting, but it looks like London is the best for me.
My results from Starhub:

London: 250 kB/s
Newark: 35 kB/s
Atlanta: 211 kb/s
Dallas: 200 kb/s
Faremont: 72 kb/s

quite interesting, download for Faremont doesn't work nice compare to London, but when I ping

Faremont rocks?

You want to ping the linode servers not he.net, also run the downloads a few times during the day and work out the average.

As a result, I've migrated to Fremont.
Network path is shorter and ping is always faster.
Also this web-site from Fremont http://www.wopular.com/ works faster than mine in London.

Raised support ticket to migrate, clicked 2 buttons and now all my data migrating from UK to US - easy, this guys have top-notch service.

Hmm, hopefully Linode will get a datacenter in Asia (Singapore, Australia, that sort of thing), it'd really help the latency for people over there...

New Tokyo DC beats all others. Hope it will also be more stable than Fremont DC.
