Hi

I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 and ubuntu-desktop. I have followed the instructions for installing nomachine and though it is installed I have no idea how best to configure it.

The client asks for a username and password but I do not know how to set these. When entering the home folder I see that no user accounts exist.

I'd also like to know how to make nomachine loadup on startup

Any help would be appreciated.

regards,
Richard

If you haven't yet, create a normal account; to create user 'bob' interactively: adduser bob

As far as starting up automatically goes, if it was installed the "Ubuntu Way", it should already be set to start automatically on boot. If it was installed some other way, it depends a lot on how it was packaged and how much time has been invested by the developers to make it work.

I added a new user and tried re-connecting.
It worked like a dream.

Thanks for the help
