Hi all!

I urgently need Your help.
After few days of playing with stupid Exim-s, Citadel-s and Postfix-es, I gave up and decided to launch Google Aapps Mail. I veryfied my domain, wrote correct MX Records

"MX Records
Mail Server Preference TTL
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 1 Default
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 5 Default
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM 5 Default
ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM 10 Default
ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM 10 Default "

Google also says that's ok :

"Congratulations! Your MX records are set up correctly and currently directing .... .com's mail to Google Apps. You and your users can now send and receive mail using Gmail. Click Next and we'll show you how.

Your current MX records for .... .com

Priority Points to
1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
10 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
10 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM."

Now I can get and send mails to my domain mail, but no letters come to my site cliens after they have registred. Wwhen I was using Exim4, such letters were sent properly.

Pls, help me, I am sick and tired with that mail issues.

Thanks!

What shows up in your server's mail log when it tries to send mail?

Hi! Thanks for quick respond!

I checked everything in /var/log directory, and I can find no files due to today's date. Even when I checked oher files - I see nothing. File "mail.err" is empty.

I am completely new to this, maybe I am looking in wrong place?

PS also - may that be becouse of bad uninstalling of previous mail servers (Exim and so on)/ How can I check that?

You'd need a send-only MTA on your Linode for any scripts/software on your Linode to send emails. We have guides in the library on setting up a send-only MTA-

If your server needs to send mail to the Internet, it'll need to have a mail server, yes. It doesn't have to be configured to receive mail... indeed, if your domain is example.com (for example) and it is handled by Google Apps, your server must not be configured to receive mail for example.com. (Make sure your server's hostname isn't example.com.)
