My Host10 Linode didn't boot on its own after the server restart. I saw the message in the forums that host10 was being fixed, but my Linode didn't start on its own after this. When I clicked on Boot on the web page, it did start up.

I realize that it's inevitable that from time to time there will be hardware failures, people tripping on power cords, etc.

It would make my life much easier if the Linode would reliably start on its own after events like this.

I really need to maximize the availability of my linode. When I have to boot it manually after server problems it can be down like a day or two, depending how long I am away from the net. The server problems don't seem to last more than an hour or two.

I'll look into this. I have a few ideas as to why these types of boots may fail.
