Would like to be able to point the linode DNS server's which are acting as slaves to a master DNS server using ipv6.

I'd think this may not be a good idea until all the Linode nameservers are ipv6 enabled. (I'm guessing some or all of the ones lacking AAAA records are not...?)

Or they would simply have to document which subset of servers will work if you have a v6 master...

Which brings to mind the feature request/bug report of enabling IPv6 on the other two nameservers, now that their data centers support it. ;-) Edit: FYI, it has been confirmed to be on the official Linode to-do list; I'm just having trouble controlling my impatie^Wanticipation. /End Edit

Back on the immediate topic, +1, although it means I'll finally have to learn how to control which outgoing IP NSD uses for notifies. (I think I know how, but I've never tried it.)

This came to mind again when I changed master for a domain today.

As ns1-5 are all ipv6-enabled and have been for some time now, this change would make a lot of sense.
