Hi I currently own Linode 768 Plan which as RAM 768MB,Currently I have Ubuntu 10.04 and want to remove and install other distributions but I am confused whether new Linux versions will work well in this Low RAM.
Please help me to choose best Linux distribution for my server configurations.

All distributions we offer should work on all of our current Linode plans. Distributions like Debian, Arch Linux, and Gentoo are usually the most light-weight.

Be aware that Arch and Gentoo are rolling release. For stability I'd go with Debian.

Adding on, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS should work great on even a Linode 512.

Do you yet know if your intended purpose for the server will require, or at least actually work better, with more memory? I originally thought I would need more server memory than I am using now, which is why I ask.
