Someone in the forum expressed his/her desire for a Linode based CDN. If there are enough people interested I would love to deploy and manage a CDN with nodes in 3 data centers Dallas, London and Tokyo.

It's an interesting idea, and something that I've been advocating for a while (that Linode is a decent CDN platform). Costs are a tad high, but if you grow big enough, Linode will likely cut you some volume discounts.

The problem is that most CDN solutions scale linearly, and you're proposing a fixed package, and the other problem is that Linode has six datacenters but you're only proposing to use three of them.

We don't offer any type of volume discounts at this time. Only the usual 10% and 15% discount for annual and biennial billing respectively.

Caker has said in the past that if you're using a metric whackload of bandwidth, presumably to the point where it affects Linode's upstream commits, he was open to negotiating volume bandwidth pricing. However, I could be misremembering, or he could have changed his position since then.
