Hey,

I've been trying to get loopback encryption working, and it seems that none of the algoriths are built into the kernel.

Any ideas? Are any of the 2.6 kernels compiled with encryption support?

Is there any other similar methods of encryption I can use to encrypt entire partitions/folder?

EDIT: Not loopback AUTHENTICATion, but ENCRYPTION.

Thanks. It seems 2.6 kernels have encryption it built in.

Although, loopback still isn't working. Would you be able to compile these extra options as well for the next kernel? Or am doing something wrong?

CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_USE_REL_BLOCK=y
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_GEN=y
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_CAST=n
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_FISH2=n

Seems this thread should be moved to the Feature Request/Bug Report forum.
