I followed the linode howto to setup e-mail using postfix, dovecot & mysql, as updated in this thread (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9047) to work with 12.04.

It seems to be working, but only partially. What happens is this:

Accessing remotely, using Outlook, I can complete the tests just fine. I can send e-mail to any other e-mail address successfully. However, when I send e-mail to the account on Linode, for whatever reason, I can only see it come in from one specific e-mail address. When I send e-mail from any other address, it doesn't show up in Outlook.

When I access through SSH, I can send e-mail out, and it all goes to the specified recipient, but it always indicates "no e-mail" when I login. I can't even see the ones I can see when I connect through Outlook.

And when I look through mail.log, it seems to reflect all e-mails sent and received as having been properly processed. I must say I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to diagnose. Can anyone help? Following is an excerpt from my mail.log for the various test messages I've been trying out:
