I have few websites hosted at one linode server. (they are labeled as master zone in linode dns manager).

While my mail server is located on another linode.

I want mail.example.com to land on mailserver. I am sure it has to do with dns settings (correct me if I am wrong).

Please help me achieve this.

Just create it so the mail subdomain points to the IP of the mailserver.
Also set the MX record to the mail subdomain.

What's the mystery?
