Hi

in the Linode Manager, the tab "Rebuild" contains:
"Choosing a 32 bit distro is recommended"

Why is that?

i am considering installing Fedora 17 64-bit; why should I go with the 32 bit version?

Thanks!

32 bit uses less memory than 64 bit.
64 bit maybe a little faster for some specialised calculations,
but you're not going to notice any speed difference with typical VPS usage,
and you could use the extra memory for more cache which could see
a speed difference.

The general rule is unless you know you need 64 bit, choose 32 bit.
