Hello -- I'm not yet a customer, but one of my co-workers is, and I am quite sold (and impressed) on the linode.com setup!

I'm curious about something, though.

Which is linode.com's UML setup based on -- processes or kernel threads?

I've run both UML setups on my laptop, and I've seen the performance hit when using processes-based UML setups in certain circumstances, so I'm curious about which model linode.com uses.

Thanks!

The only viable method of running UML in a shared environment is with the SKAS mode, since TT mode is NOT secure at all. TT mode also is about 10x slower than SKAS.

Hope that helps,
-Chris

Makes sense, and thank you very much!

I'm even more impressed on the turnaround time, too. :D
