There are two login buttons on the Linode forum. One asks me to log in to Linode Manager, the other asks me to log in to forum.

Having both of them there is very confusing -- perhaps it would be possible to create a login system that is universal across all of Linode.com? Possibly with a menu asking where to take the user after login.

The issue here is in instances (like mine) where there is a difference between forum and Linode Manager user names, however this would offer a chance to clean out unused accounts.

I like having a different login for the forum and for the manager (and it makes sense, non-linode customers may want to post to the forum for pre-sales questions).

Maybe the UI should be made clearer; "login to forum" vs "login to manager"

True, though after signing up for service, it may be nice to link the Manager and Forum accounts. Personally I find it confusing to keep track of two different user names for two different parts of the same site (Piki was taken on Manager, and I though I was the only Piki  ).

True, though if they do that, I'd think they'd have to move the one for the forum. phpBB2's header looks a little cluttered with all those links.

Soooo, how long exactly does it take you to master the complexities of learning that the top button is for the manager, and the header link is for the forum?

Two times? Three? More then three? It's not really rocket science - and NO WAY do I want my forum credentials used for my Management credentials.

The real crime is that one says "Log in" and the other says "Login".
