I pay twice for linode than digitalocean, can't understand why digital ocean offers SSDs (not hybrid solution but SSDs) while linode with double the price offers a simple hybrid solution.

My wife says the same thing when comparing my Audi to her Honda.

There's cheap and then there's good, you seldom (if ever) get them both at the same time.

Your moment of Zen will come when you realize that of the tens of thousands of files on a VPS, your working set of data is all that you are really touching. Sure, you occasionally fiddle with a log or a binary, but access pattern for a Web server for example will almost entirely revolve around the data being served.

From there, you extrapolate "do I really need /var/lib/games on a superfast SSD?" and you shall become enlightened. And it is good.

Then move - you do nothing but whine - if you're so very unhappy with the service Linode provides at the price they charge, leave. It's not a complex problem.
