Hello:

I posted my message (a little altered) in two folder: networking and servers, but the second message was deleted.

Is that common? If it is, then how do i post in multiple folders if I need to?

You do not post in multiple places with the same question. I removed your shorter post because of that.

im not sure where the question belongs. networking and servers are both a place where my question could be answered.

In that case, you'd pick whichever one you think is most appropriate and post there. Posting in two places means the discussion will be split between two threads, which is bad for anybody trying to grasp the issue / what people have already suggested.
