Previously when i hosted all my websites in the server location in my country, facebook is able to fetch the website's scrape information.

but after i changed my server to linode, i found that all my websites' scrape information are not able to fetch by facebook.

you can try with their debug tool. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

for example this domain

jinsoon.com.my

non of them are fetching correctly. please advise.

as compared with other website i picked randomly mycanvasprints.com.my, they don't have 'og' property too but they are able to fetch correctly by facebook debug too.

What's the error you get? The developers.facebook.com URL wants a username/password.

For what it's worth, I get a big "SORRY!" page from cPanel when I visit http://jinsoon.com.my/ from home.

Hi hoopycat,

can you please print screen and show me what you have found when you visit jinsoon.com.my. i suspect that my cpanel firewall are blocking many ips automatically where im not sure if they are intruders or not.

many thanks!!

i discovered something yesterday.

lets take an example. www.acemark2u.com is one of the website hosted under the linode server, when i try to debug in https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/, it just couldn't fetch the scrape information correctly, and if i try with one of the page www.acemark2u.com/about-us, it just show me the error "Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped."

weird things happen. when i try to debug using ip address 106.187.35.114/~acemark2 everything goes smooth. fetching nicely, no error 404 for pages.

i suspect it might caused by "gethostbyaddr" function (ref: http://www.gearhack.com/Forums/DisplayC ... book_Share) but so far i don't have solutions.

Here is the error I get with Chromium (Version 36.0.1985.125 Built on Ubuntu 14.04, running on LinuxMint 17 (283153)). The address bar indicates http://jinsoon.com.my/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi. The IP address I have for jinsoon.com.my is 2400:8900::f03c:91ff:fe73:a95d.

I use neither cPanel nor Facebook so I don't have many ideas. You might need to get in touch with cPanel support to see if there's some sort of option that got set somewhere that blocks random people and/or robots.

Hi Hoopy!! at last i know whats went wrong! thanks for the screen shot! love you!

In my default DNS A/AAAA record i did not remove these few ip

2400:8900::f03c:91ff:fe73:a95d Default
mail 2400:8900::f03c:91ff:fe73:a95d Default
www 2400:8900::f03c:91ff:fe73:a95d Default

that's why some of the users will pointed to these ip when they access via proper web address. But the weird part is the rest of the users in my country are able to see it correctly. anyway thanks alot!

Probably better to set up your web server correctly... only running with legacy IP addressing is a little weird.
