Fairly new to Linode and we are in the process of launching a new ruby on rails web server for one of our apps.

It's running Nginx 1.8.0 and passenger 5.

After running siege commands to benchmark the app we're receiving a Transaction rate: of 4.40 trans/sec. This is on a 8gb linode, and is the same as what we were receiving on the 2gb one before we upgraded.

After each upgrade we have run PGtune on postgres, changed the worker_processes and connections settings in nginx, as well as tweaked the passenger passenger_max_pool_size but still it remains the same.

What are we doing wrong?
