I was wondering, what the best way to get Fedora packages that were not installed during the initial setup phase?

If you don't have it already, I think it would be appreciated by many Linode users if there were a read only file system. This file system would contain all of the packages from all of the distributions that Linode supported and would be mountable by Linode users. This will not only facilitate the adding of new packages, but also help if a user removes a standard package then later decides to reinstall the package.

I agree. Using Gentoo, if Linode does "emerge --sync" each night and we could mount that filesystem, we all could save our bandwidth. For me that is not a problem yet as I've plenty of bandwidth available right now, but it could be a good added value for Linode users.
