Hello,

For last 7 days, I experienced two host crashes on two hosts.

As I believe that the Linode staffs are great, I think that the problem exists in UML unstability not in the Linode staffs.

Therefore, the crash would not be avoidable for the time being. Even with Xen.

So I want some redundancy.
I purchased another Linode to back up when the host of the first Linode crash. I can set up master-slave mysql or rsync-ed file system.

But I want more.

If Linode provides the storage over nbd, then the disk image will be available to the other Linode even though a host of the Linode crashes.

Natually, the storage nbd should be exported from the 3rd host and 4th host to gurantee the availability even a 3rd host crash.

Then I would be able to use GFS file system between two systems.

I am not sure if I can use GFS as the root file system, but still it will be great because I don't have to rsync and there will be no in-consistency of data storage between two Linodes.

or appreciate if somebody suggests me any other redundacy idea.

Looking forward it.
Thank you.
