Linode is the best! I just signed up for my second linode, and activation was very fast:

My credit card was verified at: Sun, 5 Feb 2006 13:28:31 -0500
My account was activated at: Sun, 5 Feb 2006 13:58:30 -0500

I have to say I found activation nice and quick too. I was registering from Australia late one evening, which must have been very late in the USA night. Had a staff member on the IRC forum who a) got my sign up sorted out and b) helped me with some basic questions on getting the base server up and running.

Much appreciated.
