Hello guys,

I need your quick help.

My linodes have problems getting email from Yahoo Mail Taiwan. I suspect this is a Yahoo Taiwan internal mail server misconfiguration.

Of course I cannot get inside Yahoo, but I tried to connect to MXs of yahoo.com.tw, and found out Linode IPs cannot connect to one of them , but my other IPs at other locations can !!!

So if possible, let me know if you can do this successfully :

telnet mx1.mail.tw.yahoo.com 25

should get stuck , and whereas

telnet mx2.mail.tw.yahoo.com 25

should always go through.

I have confirmed this on 2 linodes.

Whether it works or not, let me know your IP. The more IPs I have, the more solid prooves I can have to argue with Yahoo Taiwan.

That does appear to be the case from a Linode with an IP in the 70.85.129.0/24 range. Good luck.

Same story here, on 64.5.53.0/24 (ThePlanet). The mx1 fails and mx2 works. Also found that both worked from everywhere else.
